Although you can get a lot of really healthy food in Amsterdam, I found it difficult to adapt my way of life to the sort of food as is shown above.
Being in my late fifties, I grew up with school milk, all week meat with gravy and potatoes and some overcooked veggies and boiled fish on Fridays (also with potatoes, and pees+carrots.
My partner and I are certainly not fat, and we tend to think we eat ‘the right way’. Meaning that we don’t have meat more than 2 x a week, vega 1-2 x a week, fish 2-3 times a week and we usually don’t have breakfast and/or lunch. Not for any reason, but it just happens like this.
So, we both feel good, doing as we do. Therefore, I dedicated a piece of this website to the way we handle our daily nurturing with food and drinks. Not to be any kind of lecturer, just for fun! And maybe you could use some of our experiences for your benefit.
